May God bless Principal Cocksworth. This will be a blessing for Coventry, though a loss for Ridley.

I note that Richard Kew is on staff at Ridley Hall in Cambridge, since his move back to England. Perhaps he, or someone else who knows him, can tell us a little bit more about the man. Anyway, he seems to have strong evangelical credentials.

Chris Cockworth is a gifted and godly man, and it has been a privilege to work with him since my return to England. His years here in Cambridge have been a great blessing to Ridley: he followed a fine Principal and has built upon the foundations that he received. Given the way in which the Council are approaching the selection of Chris’s successor I have every hope that someone equally able and gifted will follow in his footsteps. Chris will certainly be missed at Ridley, but I am sure he and Charlotte will bring much to the Diocese of Coventry.

Chris has a great sense of humor, and unlike so many leaders is happy to laugh at his own expense. We have a temporary building at Ridley because the place is so full and was dubbed by the students “Cocksworth’s Cabin.” On Tuesday last week it received a new name, the “Bishop’s Box!”

    Richard Kew (#3),

Thank you for sharing your perspective on him. Such a glowing commendation is certainly good news. The orthodox cause needs all the strong, healthy, fruitful leaders it can get in our fight for the soul of Anglicanism. I’m glad that another evangelical one is joining the ranks as a bishop in the C of E.
